Geopier: Marling Lumber development project.

The Geopier Armorpact® and Impact® systems are being used in Madison, Wisconsin on the former Marling Lumber development project, to support the foundations with column loads up to 700 kips to reinforce about 12 to 20 feet of very loose granular fill, organic clay / peat, and soft clay to tag stiff clay or medium dense granular soils.

The construction development in Madison, Wisconsin on the former Marling Lumber development project.will consist of multiple buildings ranging from 2 to 5-stories. The Geopier Armorpact® and Impact® systems will be used to support the foundations with column loads up to 700 kips to reinforce about 12 to 20 feet of very loose granular fill, organic clay / peat, and soft clay to tag stiff clay or medium dense granular soils. Rampact® elements will also be used to provide floor slab support. The use of the Geopier systems eliminate the need for deep foundations with grade beams in conjunction with a structurally designed slab.

 The Geopier Armorpact system creates strong and stiff Rammed Aggregate Pier® elements in weak soils and provides superior levels of performance for foundation settlement control and support at challenging sites.
