January 2000: The site makes its first appearance as part of the Civil Engineer website.

May 2001: The personal interest of the founder in the field of geotechnical engineering leads to the fast development of the
geotechnical session. The Geotechnics session gained its independence and became the "Geotechnical Engineer Website". The new
URL of the site is now: http://www.geocities.com/geotechnical_engineer/index.html

July 2001: First issue of the Geotechnical Engineer Newsletter was published and included all the material contained in the
geotechnics session site to-date. Till then, updates were announced only through the Civil Engineer Newsletter.

May 2002: The enthusiastic support of the visitors of the site lead to the relocation of the site to its own domain name and its
present appearance. The site is renamed to "GEOENGINEER" to encompass the broad range of geoengineering information
provided in the site.

January 2003: The members of the Geoengineer Newsletter are more than 1200. The site initiates new sessions such as the "TOP
10 papers in geotechnical engineering" and the "Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering Portal (GEEP)".

January 2004: The members of the Geoengineer Newsletter now exceed 2000.  

April 2004: The Geoengineer Newsletter hosts the International Journal of Geoengineering Case Histories. This is the first
independent activity that the Geoengineer Website hosts.

August 2004: The Geoengineer Website has more than 10,000 visitors each month. A new layout for the website is established.

August 2004: The Geoengineer website establishes with the collaboration of Professor K. K. Phoon, the "Geotechnical risk and
reliability" website.

October 2004: The Geoengineering Bulletin Boards and Forums are founded with forums on "Job Opportunities", "Geoengineering
News", and "Geoengineering Software".

January 2005: The Geoengineer website visitors exceed 15,000 visitors.

March 2005: The Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering Portal has been renovated and is operated by Adda Athanasopoulos.

April 2005: The Geoengineering Databases have been established and include two new databases: Database of Companies
providing In-Situ and Laboratory testing and Database of georisk and reliability references.

May 2005: The New Books session has been established. This session promotes new publications in the geoengineering field and
provides links to selling points around the web.

November 2005: The Geoengineer website establishes the geo-website network program.

December 2005: The Geoengineer website initiates its conference sponsorship program.

June 2006: Manos Kapritsos joins the Geoengineer website as Website applications developer.

July 2006: Magda Tsikaki joins the Geoengineer website as Administrative Assistant.

July 2006: The Geoengineer.org Press Center is established.

August 2006: Geoengineer.org announces the Bimrocks website by Dr. E. Medley.
