Issue: #12, January 2004
Editor: Dimitris P. Zekkos
** This Newsletter lists only updates of the Geoengineer website **
Editorial: 2000 members and growing...
With this newsletter we now exceed 2000 members of the newsletter. Thank you for your support. We hope you find the website a useful resource to your work. With your contributions the website will expand and will host more information and become more useful.
As always, this newsletter also has a wealth of different information. A series of books on Probabilistic methods in geotechnical engineering are presented in the free books session. Links to two more wonderful Buchanan Lectures given by Professor Michael Duncan and Professor John Burland are provided also. The first part of a series of nice articles along with photos are presented on rockfill placement and compaction guidelines. To continue our list of the best papers we invited Professor Y.F. Dafalias to present the "Top Ten papers on Macroscopic Soil Plasticity Constitutive Modelling".
I would like again to thank all the contributors for providing useful information and resources.
I would like also to thank gINT software for their support to the Geoengineer Website. gINT has some unique discounts on their geotech software for academic institutions and students. I encourage you to click on the banner on this newsletter or in the main page of the website and see more information.
