In this photo you can see a rock
slope failure in the construction
field of the
Auburn Dam. The
methods of slope reinforcement
consisted of shotcrete, mesh and
rockbolts.

The purpose of the reinforcement
of the slope was temporary
support. However,  because of the
interruption of the construction the
slope was abandoned. However,
the slope failed many years later.
For that reason, the design of the
reinforcement is considered
successful.
